Villain by 3colorswirl Villain by 3colorswirl
He sure is.

So Grabby went and gak-ed about the new season of MLP to me and everyone else, and in the midst of her gak-ing she showed me a comic someone made that she believed accurately described Sombra's role in the season premier in which the question was asked: "Gak, why you have more screen-time than Sombra?"

So I made this. To better accurately describe his role.

Pinkie Pie, Shining Armor, and Sombra Hasbro
But I drew it. So there.

and Gullom had more screentime than the eye of sauron, yet nobody makes fun of Sauron.

Okay, it's not entirely about screen-time. It's about how they built this guy up big time saying that he's super evil and then in the end he didn't really do much. It's okay to keep a villain off the screen, build him up and then make him super awesome with the reveal. But you can't rely on talking about how bad a villain is to convince the audience he's bad, otherwise there is no emotional connection. You have to witness the villain doing bad things. He has to live up to the expectations provided by the other characters talking him up, which he did not.

By that logic the eye of Sauron also was a bad villain because he did not do much on screen and stayed an eyeball for three movies

So, having enslaved the population of the Crystal Empire and attempted to turn the whole land into a living hell with his dark magic is not enough to make a villain?

Good basis, but they talked about him more than he was actually there doing things. Cool down buddy, stay tolerant.

I'm tolerant, I'm just tired of seeing people bashing Sombra when they don't seem to understand what he's all about...

On the positive side, I like the face he has in the last panel, hilarious =D

I'm not trying to bash him, if anything I'm bashing the MLP writers for not giving him a bigger role.

I feel like his role was fine as it was. He's not supposed to be an action villain, he's more about the fear he incites.
